Yachad Saviv is an initiative of the Sassoon Yehuda Sephardi Synagogue, and is dedicated to engaging, inspiring, and supporting Jewish youth, teens, and young adults.

With our Sephardi traditions, and modern Orthodox values, we want to create a strong sense of Jewish pride, identity and belonging with our participants, as well as ensuring each has a strong connection to Israel.

We offer an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment—regardless of heritage, or level of observance. All events are kosher (certified under KA) and respectful of Shabbat.

🪬Yachad Saviv Youth (from 8 years old to to Bar/Bat Mitzvah)

Programs for our youngest participants are currently being developed but when launched, will include fun, age-appropriate activities that build Jewish knowledge, connection to our Sephardi heritage, as well as developing friendships.

🪬Yachad Saviv Teens (School Years 8-12)

Yachad Saviv Teen is all about connection, growth, and pride with their Jewish identity. This dynamic program offers a vibrant and inclusive space for Jewish teens to thrive through fun social events, Shabbatonim, education, as well as leadership and mentorship opportunities.

While inspired by Sephardi tradition, the program warmly welcomes all Jewish teens.

We have set ambitious yet achievable goals, including launching teen camps within five years and offering free or subsidised trips to Israel within 5-10 years.

🪬Yachad Saviv Young Adults (approx ages 18-30)

We have launched our program for young adults with fun events that give them opportunities to create meaningful friendships.

We will soon be launching more, with cultural events, shiurim, discussion groups, and opportunities for young people to get involved not just within the Sephardi but also the broader Jewish community.

“Yachad Saviv is more than just a program — Sassoon Yehuda Sephardi Synagogue is proud to be investing in the young people of Melbourne’s Jewish community, as well as Melbourne’s Sephardi future.”
